Gibsondependable International Rescue re-assembly project complete... Nice! Many thanks Clement! I'm really pleased how this one turned out both from an aesthetic and playability/tone perspective. These modern era X-braced bodied Ricks are a wonderful combination of old and new; with the lovely '60...

Yup. And the way the parts were priced I suspect he must have picked it up for less than $2000.....and it's in unmarked condition with no fretwear. Sign of the times.

Re: 4003 British Racing Green Advice Needed

If their website is up to date, it looks like Sound Affects still have at least one brand new in stock. So if their price is right versus what you paid at GAK, you should get a refund and re-buy it from Sound Affects. I have bought new from Sound Affects in the past and the owner Tim is a great guy ...

Many thanks John. It's great that we have someone as experienced with Rickenbacker guitars as William to help us here in Europe. I've been consistently delighted with all the work he has done for me. :D

Re: Rose Morris 1993/12 (1965) unearthed in Andalusia, Spain

Hi Florian, What a great find!! That guitar definitely deserves to have a proper restoration and William Young would definitely be able to do a great job to restore her to former glory. He is based in France and I would suggest you get in touch with him direct to discuss - his contact details can be...

Re: Inlays

I have pics somewhere of the back of Townshend's guitar and also other surviving examples from the same batch. I'll try to dig them out. They had square heels, like Harrison's 360. As fully "deluxe" models they also had dual-input ROS as well. Plus they all have the "sharper" he...

Re: Inlays

I only know of two surviving original Townshend-spec 360S/12 models, neither of which belonged to Townshend. One of my favorite guitars and much more in common with a 360/12 OS than any Rose Morris model. I cannot recall seeing a clear pic of the heel on Townshend's OS 360S/12 ; do you know whether...

Re: Inlays

Very nice - I've got a shot like that - both 60s (1965 and 1964) Rose Morris models, both sadly no longer with me. :( http://i609.photobucket.com/albums/tt179/CollinEbay/0AEEDB74-5AF2-48B8-8797-C4A5FE5E77AC-851-00000103C3298243_zps5cc3b020.jpg That is indeed very sad. Re: Inlays

P.s. is that your converted white 1993? This is the third Pearl White that I have converted (the other two retained the dot inlays of the PW when they were converted to a more standard 1993 spec, whereas I wanted to go with the triangle inlays and bound fretboard for this one as an homage to the or...
