Re: What kind of bass amp do you use with your Rickenbacker?
No Genz Benz love?... Well, I have a ShuttleMAX 12.0 head with a 4x10 Uber cab. It is so versitile and transparent. It really lets my Rics come through with their own character. I want to try and pick up a Uber 2x12 used to pair with it to really bring out some good low end thump, but supposedly Ric...

Re: Interesting new product
It needs a touch of refinement - namely, the dip is a bit too deep so it isn't flush with the pickguard. Seller plans to work on this. Did he say how long before he would get to this? I really like playing by the neck pickup and have been using the edge of the fretboard to rest my thumb. Would real...

610 Pickguard size?
Hello all,
Did a search on this and didn't see anything. I have a '95 610/6 I want to get a black pickguard for sometime soon. I am pretty sure the pickguards on 610's would be indentical to those on 620's, but wanted to confirm this with folks who would know.
Thanks for your help,
LEL

"Murmur" by R.E.M. That is THE Ric Bass sound to me.

Re: Electro-Harmonix POG II
Wow! never would have guessed the 12 or 8 string combo, as most people I've talked to use them to get a 6 to sound like a 12. It really nails an 8 string bass sound as the string pairs are all an octave apart. As far as making a 6 string sound like a 12 string, it does that pretty well if you don't...

Re: Electro-Harmonix POG II
With my 620/12, I can sound like a huge organ, especially playing chords. I did the riff from Inna Gadda Da Vida and laughed my butt off! It's a fun and ineresting pedal.

Re: Rickenbackers In Your Home Town
Cassius used to go to college at the regional university, and when he graduated and left, the Rickenbacker population literally was cut in half. Well, when I come down the number shoots up dramatically for few hours! :D Speaking of which, I do need to head down soon. It's been too long! Hope all is...

You know I thought about getting that 33 1/3 book on Marquee Moon but didn't know if it was good and that series can be hit and miss. Now that I know, I will be picking it up!

Television
Was just digging around YouTube for some vintage Television performances and found them playing "Foxhole" off their album "Adventure" in 1978 on the Old Grey Whistle Test and, lo and behold, a nice 4001 shows up strapped to Fred Smith: Sorry about the link, but I can never get Yo...

Re: 4003 FL Recently shipped from RIC!
Hi, Everyone, Long time no post around here. I bought that one off the Ricpage. Very nice. Nice to know who ended up with that wonderful bass. Would love to see pics when you have the time. A bit after originally posting that I found a 2008 4003FL in MG with some nice figuring on the fretboard and ...
