Re: Elitist Casino owners?

I have both the Standard & Elitist Casino and love the Elitist. The standard is MIC and I'm slowly getting rid of any of my Chinese or Korean made stuff. In fact have my Standard Casino up for sale on Craig's list on the Gibson Forum for $450 shipped anywhere in USA 48 states. When I play the Ca...

Re: Thoughts on a 340 vs. 330 Ric

Sorry Mark, I was gone till this morning and didn't want to snub your question. Yep, that was the one for sure on the 340 on ebay. It was just like watching a cab meter run in Washington DC. (you know dollars change with every foot the cab goes). :D I will maybe list my 2001 330 JG on ebay as things...

Re: Thoughts on a 340 vs. 330 Ric

Didn't get the 340. Was reasonable until the last minute of the auction. The automatic bids just went wild and went from $1150 to $2300+ in about 2 seconds. Last 2 seconds of the auction someone slipped in a bid for $2400+. Man, you'd have thought it was a 325 in that auction. IMHO the automatic bid...

Re: Thoughts on a 340 vs. 330 Ric

Thanks for the thought Clint. I'm not much for "modding" stuff that isn't reversible if you know what I mean. Next guy may not like what I did and then I have to find someone that likes what I liked enough to buy it.

Thanks for you input!!!

Re: Thoughts on a 340 vs. 330 Ric

Thanks for the help. Looks like I'd have to drop over $1200 for the 340 and didn't know if that was in line or overboard. I will want to sell my 2001 330JG if I get this one. Have a 330FG (2011 new) so I don't guess I need the 2001 JG anyway.

Thanks again and I'll look for the sound posts.

Re: Best years for a Duo-Jet?

Hi Fellers, I went with a 2004 Jet in Caddy Green. Think I bought it right, great, not "Mint" like they said it was. Had to ScratchX it and rub it out. Lightly cleaned the gold and now it's just below Mint. I know, I'm just too picky. Thanks for all the help/input. Love the sound & the...

Thoughts on a 340 vs. 330 Ric

Hi everyone,

I was looking at a used 340 Ric in nice shape and was wondering what say ye about the 340 vs. a 330?

Any good/bad things to say about a 340? Also, do they hold their value as well as a 330

Thanks for any info so I don't make me a mistake!!

Re: Best years for a Duo-Jet?

Hi Guys,

I'm back from vacation and was wondering if anyone had any feedback on a 2004 or 2005 Duo Jet vs. the current versions? Any comparisons would be appreciated.

Thanks

Best years for a Duo-Jet?

Hi Ya'll, I've been out of service for a bit and was wanting to expand on my guitar collection for Fall. 3 big questions to be thrashed around here: 1) What year (s) would you all say is the BEST year for a Duo-Jet w/ DynaSonics? Can get a brand new CG for just under $2100 delivered new from a deale...

Mechanical buzzing when playing my 325

Hi Everyone, I'm hoping to understand some of the things that can cause a mechanical vibration/buzz with my 2007 325 I just bought. Mainly low E & maybe some A stings. Sounds more like the brass roller buzzing when playing than anything else maybe. I read someone recommending a drop of oil on th...

Re: Anyone use Pyramid 12's Flats on their 325c64?

Hi Paul, I have the ladder braced J-160E 1962 Re-issue version that Fuller has Gibson make with the ply-wood top & P90 pup. In my mind it is ONLY a great sounding plug in electric guitar. My wife calls it "play guitar" music if I play it just goofing off w/o plugging it in. Sounds real...

Anyone use Pyramid 12's Flats on their 325c64?

Getting ready to restring soon. My 2007 Ric 325c64 came with a set of Ric round 12's on it and a new pack of Pyramid Gold Flats 13's in the case box. Is that too heavy a gauge. I'm maybe just barely burly enough for the 12 rounds. I will say I just love the Pyramid Gold Flat 11's on my 62 Reissue Gi...

Re: What about a Ric 330 as first Ric

Thanks for the great info. I just found a new 2010 330 Fireglo that I bought & arrived. I had some discount coupons to use up with MF and got it for $1350.00. When did they change the headstock to the smaller look? That's kind of like making a beautiful 57 Chevy with smaller fins. :) Like the bi...
