Love it already, but - I've only owned a 320 before this, which had a fairly predictable knob arrangement (two volume knobs on one side, two tone on the other side, etc). When I was mucking around with the 325v59, I was getting all kinds of funk...

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures

"THAT was AWSOME!"

Cheers, if I win the v59 I'm bidding on then I'll have to get off my butt and do some more.

PS. only reason I asked about the date of the John picture was it looked a little later than most appearances of that guitar, so yeah!

Not sure of the date - is that a harmonica mount he's fiddling with?

Re: I Saw the Holy Grail Today.

Some years back, I remember some Forum member posted pics he "covertly" took at that museum in Japan, because photography was not permitted. Maybe they were posted on some thread in the "325" section or the Vintage Rickenbackers section . It was awhile back. Nearest example I ca...

Re: Groovy Beatles pictures

most of us would take a young Pete Best into our band in a heartbeat I've been in bands with a few Pete Best's before - you're always looking over his shoulder for the Next Guy to come along and make everything sound better. Unfortunately, life isn't always like it is in the movies (ha) and the ban...

Re: New George Harrison app for the iPad

Yeah this is exceedingly frustrating. I've been messaging them for a while now and all I get is 'soon' or 'within the next couple of months'.

Re: Tony Sheridan

Inasmuch as I don't want to speak ill of the dead, he seemed (on occasion) to be a tiny bit of a blowhard to me. I guess the more polite expression would be 'opinionated' - but he always seemed to know quite a lot for a guy who didn't make it as high as the people he was often interviewed to talk ab...

Ah, thanks! Been hanging out for someone to test one of these oldies on video. It's much appreciated. Feel free to do it as often as the mood takes you!

Re: The wait is over..Yeah yeah yeah

"Are you serious?" Yes. I'd definitely agree that the drummer is a better backing vocalist than the other two, though. Ultimately it's not a lineup that I care much for. I'd go to see them, for Macca of course, but I've seen far too many videos of them stinking the stage up. The one thing ...

Re: The wait is over..Yeah yeah yeah

I'd love to see Macca. Not so keen on his backing band though. The guys doing harmonies ruin it every time.

Re: two-tone brown '58 325 - eBay

As far as I'm concerned, the thing could be painted dayglo pink - as long as someone is playing it on a daily basis. These things are made for using.
