Re: The Suzi Arden Show

I think it'll be a cold day in Hell before an Arden reissue goes into production at RIC. Realistically, yes. So.....I guess all you guys on here who are lustin' after one of Suzi's finest need to grab yourselves a suitably beat up C63 and get yer screwdrivers out...  Now where can I get...

Re: The Suzi Arden Show

Not sure that a relatively unknown Country Western Swing artist popular 35 years ago should have a "signature" model (popularity strength of the artist being the factor for selling guitars...). No disrespect intended, Suzi is great etc. I guess this point is that Suzi Arden is probably as...

Re: String-Spacing Confusion

At any rate, it looks like the guitar I played at Sam Ash was not representative of the 360/12's that are currently leaving the factory. Are they modding the guitars at this Sam Ash? I remember you said that the 360/12c63 you tried at that Sam Ash appears to have different spacing too... My next st...

My mistake, I mixed up your photo with what the initial poster of this topic said:

Is it just me or did that picture show a pickup switch that looks older than a 2010? For comparison, here's a pic of my 2002 360/12 (with factory wiring):

Re: If You Find Ric 12-String Necks Too Narrow, Here's Gibson...

Have a closer look, it's a regular TOM with the saddles slotted for pairs of strings. So it's the same as Gibson has used on all their electric 12's since the 60's. Ibanez copies, which use metric measurements on their TOM bridges, used 12 saddle TOM bridges. I've been looking for a Gibson 12 saddl...

Re: If You Find Ric 12-String Necks Too Narrow, Here's Gibson...

I just can't imagine that a solidbody guitar with humbuckers would sound even close to my 330/12 or 360/12 (Granted the 600-series Rics are solidbodies). It's all a very subjective business anyway. Quite right, Robert. I think the point is that we now have another 12-string tone option (non-Rickenb...

Re: If You Find Ric 12-String Necks Too Narrow, Here's Gibson...

The guitar seems to have a proper 12-string Tune-o-matic bridge so at least it should have good intonation. Decades ago, I learned to play guitar on a Les Paul (copy) so for sentimental reasons I think I'll have to try out this new 12-string. I do like the sustain on Les Pauls...

Re: 360c63/12 string spacing

Thank you all! So i think the guitar i was offered must be a 360/12v64. Does any body know the data and specifications of this guitar ? thanks Peter Hi Peter, Check this out at the RIC site: http://www.rickenbacker.com/catalog_poster_piece.asp?poster_piece=cf95-vintage-6.jpg The table states the 36...

It's the other way around - you'll only get the bridge pickup. Try it for yourself to verify.

Re: String-Spacing Confusion

Could it be that my enormous clout on the Rickenbacker Resource Forum led the factory to readopt a wider string-spacing that would be closer to my tastes? Robert Hi Robert, This is the topic that never dies! :D Good to see you continuing to fight the good fight for the perfect 12-string spaci...

Re: 360c63/12 string spacing

Did Rickenbacker have the 360c63 in early 1990? Hi Peter, The 360/12c63 came out in late 2005. The neck width is the same as the standard 360/12's (1.63 inches): 360/12c63 specs: http://www.rickenbacker.com/model.asp?model=360/12C63 360/12 specs: http://www.rickenbacker.com/model.asp?model=360/12 T...
