Re: Yardbirds Lead Singer Electrocuted in 1976

Well, ya I knew all that. So then this guy actually died of just plain stupidity then?

Yardbirds Lead Singer Electrocuted in 1976

Wow, I just read that the lead singer of the Yardbirds died in 1976 from being electrocuted in his basement, when his guitar was not grounded. Really? I have been playing away and never realized this before. 1. Could it happen today? 2. What do you do to prevent it? 3. How about if you have an amp a...

Re: Line 6 Echo Park pedal 9v DC powr supply

Another aspect is my Line 6 Echo Park pedal states that it is "by Tone Core", which may indicate that it was made for Line 6 by another manufacturer.

I'll look into that also.

Re: Line 6 Echo Park pedal 9v DC powr supply

Dane, Than you! I looked on the bottom of the pedal and there it is. Additionally I looked on the side of the plug for my Boss 9V power supply and the polarity on the diagram matches my Echo Park pedal. It is a small label on each item, but plain enough to read it OK. I learn something new every day...

Line 6 Echo Park pedal 9v DC powr supply

I just bought a used line 6 Echo Park digital delay pedal. Does anyone that has one know if this pedal uses a standard 9v DC power supply polarity, such as a Roland PSA-120S, or does it require a Line 6 adapter patch such as a 1 Spot Line 6 converter; which switches the polarity from standard to rev...

Re: Byrds 2 Janglebox compared to other makes

I got a fast answer by emailing to Janglebox.com. As a result I don't see any need to obtain any other compressor pedal to use for my purposes.

Re: 360/12 Tech help needed asap

The Janglebox worked just fine. The "boost" knob added a lot of volume. Also I used my Fender Acoustasonic amp hooked into the PA. That seemed to get the soundman to finally make everything work. The Ric 360/12 sounded fine, even though we played no "12 string songs". The end res...

Byrds 2 Janglebox compared to other makes

My first electric guitar is a Ric 360/12, with a Byrds JB2 compressor unit. I am now a "lead" guitar player, but a 6 string sound is what they want, not so much the early Byrds sound. So my next guitar is on the way to me, a Duesenberg Starplayer TV Deluxe, semi hollow body. For my updated...

Bigsby Trem Bar String Rollers on Duo Jet

I have just become a big fan of Gretsch guitars. I am interested in finding out what these string roller wheels are on the bridge of this guitar at about 0:15 into this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=afgQk2WodGI If I buy a Gretsch guitar (soon) I would like to be able to obtain these to add ...

Re: 360/12 Tech help needed asap

My Janglebox model is the Byrds Janglebox 2. It seems to function as a pre-amp, after the drummer said "do you have a pre-amp?"

Re: 360/12 Tech help needed asap

Scott, Thank you immensely for your response. I'll look into what you describe. Most of my past playing has always been as the "the rhythm man", and my Guild acoustic guitars were well liked for that sound. I usually did quite well using an acoustic 12 string for any Byrds or Beatles lead ...

360/12 Tech help needed asap

I will be playing my Ric 360/12 in a large cathedral with 60 foot high ceiling and an audience of 800 on floor level and in a 20 ft high balcony. Normally every electric instrument is run from the effects boards into the house PA control board. After rehearsal the sound tech agreed to have me bring ...

Re: Guitar mainteneance

Clint,
Thanks for the reply. I will most likely take my 360/12 to the nearest Ric dealer about 2 hours drive away, and have them look at it for set up and anything else. It is a great looking guitar and I got it for a great price about 4 years ago.

Guitar mainteneance

I have owned a Ric 360/12 since 2011 and do not play it as much as planned. I use my acoustic 6 & 12 string's for almost everything. I have carefully stored it tuned down, but am wondering in general if the 12 strings and even basses need neck resets in time. and what is the best approach to kee...

Re: Online ric bass store

If delivered quality and having no issues with a new Rick is a concern, and not to imply all dealers mentioned wouldn't care the same, I'd go with POTR or Wildwood. Just my thoughts. Thank you for your insights, it gives me a little more confidence about who to order from. There are no shops nearby...
