Re: Chris Squire's 1969 4001
I always thought that was a 1965.

Re: What key is Chris's harmonica?
A few years ago, I took on the role of " Chris Squire " in a " YES " tribute band called " All Good People ". It was some of the funnest music I've ever played. We did pretty much everything from Close To The Edge and earlier. One of the songs we covered was And You And...

Re: Your musical influences?
For bass, I would have to say that Chris Squire and Geddy Lee were the two people who made me want to play the bass.
I'm also a keyboardist and there my biggest influences are Rick Wakeman and Vangelis.

Re: strings
On my Midnight 4003, I have it set up to take the standard Rotosound RS66LD strings, but on my Jetglo, I have it set up with the factory gauges: 45-55-75-100.
I just love the feel.
The only way I can get those gauges is to by them all individually from D' Addario.

Normally I'm not big on the burst, but I have to admit; that is one sexy bass.

Re: HOW MANY RRF BASS PLAYERS USE THE MUTE?
Were I to be in a "Surfer" type band, I would probably use it all the time.
However, being in a prog-rock band, I've never found it to be useful in any way.

Re: New YES Album.."Fly From Here"
I got the album about a week ago and can't stop listening to it.
These guys just never stop amazing me.
The album, I thought, was very well written and produced. The new singer blends in very well.
I hope they do another live album off of this tour.

Re: Took new pics of my Rics.
I had a chance to buy a brand new CS in 1992. I had the money in my hand, but I needed to replace two of my keyboards that were stolen the day of a show. I still kick myself every time I think of how I should have bought the bass instead. :( I currently have two Rickenbacker 4003's, (one Midnight Bl...

Re: New Yes Single
At first, I was a little apprehensive about the new album, seeing that Trevor Horn was producing it. I have to admit that although I am a HUGE fan of Yes, "Drama" was not one of my favorite albums. But when I heard the "Fly From Here" album, I almost fell over! What an incredible...
