Re: White touch-up paint for Vintage Truss Rod Cover?

Unfortunately, flat white won't match the gloss paint on it originally. Vintage TRC's have paint applied to not only the underside, but also to the sides of the plexiglass therefore making an exact match necessary.

Re: Tell me about your first Rickenbacker...

My first actual hands-on Rickenbacker experience was in late 1965 when I sang with a college cover band at Kent State University in northeastern Ohio. My bandmate (later my roommate too) was a young (17 year-old) Joe Walsh fresh in from Montclair NJ. Joe was an amazing player even at 17 going on 18 ...

White touch-up paint for Vintage Truss Rod Cover?

Can anybody steer me to a good matching touch up paint for my mid nineties Vintage truss rod cover? It had some missing paint when I bought it from RIC along the edges and has a small chip near a screw hole. I prefer it to the newer plastic replacements and it now resides on my '09 620/12. :?: Thank...

2016 Guitarlington Show - October 15-16

Anyone planning on attending. I'm taking my new 330-12FG to sell. I'm looking for a 620-12 to replace it. I'll be there Saturday the 15th with a cart full of stuff for sale/trade. Stop and say hello. Mike in TX

Re: Timeline for BT models?

Not sure how long they were produced but they were in the catalogs for quite a while. My '86 620/12 Mapleglo/BT was an odd one in that it came with Schaller "Kluson-Style" black finish machines, which were not used very long before everything switched to the Schaller Mini's in BT. I still ...

Re: 12 string slotted through?

As a long-time Rick 12 owner, I've owned both closed and open head models. While the classic closed back style of my old 620/12 was nice to look at, it made re-stringing chores a pain in the butt! The new headstock is so much easier to replace those inner strings than the old that I'd probably never...

swapping covers on 2005 High Gains for Toaster tops?

:?: I happen to prefer the look of toasters but I like the sound of my High Gains. Years ago I purchased the Toaster covers as I've always wanted to try this. Finally I have the necessary tools to remove the 'buttons" on my High Gains. I am wondering if I can get away without replacing the top ...

Re: BACK PAGES 1/29/10 at UP 'N SMOKE in Keller, TX

Well, we came, we jangled, and we conquered! :D The gig was a blast and all those in attendance enjoyed the unexpected sonic pleasure of hearing lots of "Oldies but Goodies" from The Beatles, The Byrds, Tom Petty and REM plus a few surprises thrown in for fun. We attacked 'em wjth twin 360...

BACK PAGES 1/29/10 at UP 'N SMOKE in Keller, TX

Fort Worth's best Jangle-Rock band, the BACK PAGES, will play Friday, January 29th at Keller's UP 'N SMOKE BBQ restaurant. We cover THE BYRDS, TOM PETTY, R.E.M. and THE BEATLES during our show. This should be a fun evening for the whole family. Up 'N Smoke provides some fine BBQ to the Keller area a...

Hello, I just wanted to note that Fort Worth's BACK PAGES band played their 1st gig of 2010 last night at Central Market "Outside" in Southlake. All went well and we had an outstanding crowd for a Friday night in January! The weather cooperated and we had a temp of 74F at the start with a ...
