Re: Brand New 325C64 Issues
I bought my Rick used and someone had messed with the roller bridge. There was no rattle, but the little roller wheels wouldn’t turn either - it was, essentially, no longer a roller bridge. Before I learned of Winfield (parts source) I posted my concerns here and desire to get a new roller bridge......

Alright! Looking good, and it’s good you’re back to share your progress. I’m still dragging my feet about installing a Bigsby. How did your installation go? Did you follow the instructions precisely (e.g., drill bit diameter), or did you have do some minor troubleshooting? I understand that the bodi...

Re: GEM Amp?
Are either of you guys concerned with the two-pronged electrical plug? I was — just overly cautious I guess — and installed a three-prong/grounded cord. Just vague concerns, but I was a lot more rambunctious a few years ago and just wanted to do it.

Re: Warranty on Musician's Friend purchase?
My 330 has a shaky volume pot, neck PU. That PU is dead, but springs back to life if I jiggle/turn back & forth its respective pot, etc. You can try fooling with the controls for that PU and see if you get any kind of response. If so, spraying some cleaner in the pot can fix it, although that’s ...

Re: 2007 jetglo, severe finish damage
It sure looks like brush marks to me, too. You’d think the “refinisher” would have used a can of automotive spray paint.... I don't think Scott Baillie uses a sprayer......................... Well, I don't know who that is, and if "brush marks" was the intended effect, then, well, OK.... ...

I’m glad this worked out well for you, and was a “good” learning experience (vs. a “bad” one where nothing gets resolved). Let us know/see what you buy as a replacement when you find the fight one.
I don’t suppose you learned anything about those dots, did you?![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)

Re: 325 Bigsby Installation
I've been all over the Bigsby website. I cannot account for the 109mm length of my B5. I noted an error on the B5 blueprint (mm=44+), but the inches seem "correct" (4.75"). There is no contact telephone number, but there is a place to ask a question, but the form you have to fill out ...

Re: 325 Bigsby Installation
There's a lot of information regarding the installation of a Bigsby B5, much of it right here on this web site, including cutting off that forward tab/screw hole extention. What I haven't read before is the size description of the B50 -- I never really knew what this was (all about). Anyway, I have ...

This is certainly a challenge, and the past week of utter silence here only corroborates that. I wish that I had the experience and expertise to offer suggestions. If you haven't posted in a luthier forum, etc., try posting over at the fender discussion page (fenderforum.com). Some really capable gu...

Re: Normal for a new Ric?
Paint is translucent and you can see through it there. Even an inspection with flashlight reveals no dot. Maybe it washed out in the paint. I wonder what they are for. Maybe just a "done" indicator for the next fella down the assembly line? No one really has a clue about "the dot.&qu...
