As far as I am aware, there are no recordings of Johnny Sandon with The Searchers. It is possible some bootleg tapes exist, but I suspect these would have surfaced, soon after The Searchers became successful, if they did exist. There is to the best of my knowledge a whole CD released by Sequel, of T...

I have always held the view, that Saturday Night Out was probably going to be the follow up to Sugar and Spice. Whilst conjecture on my part, you have to consider the facts. TJ was lead singer on both the first two single and albums, which were very successful, the fact they had got a spot in a film...

Johnny Sandon made a number of records with a liverpool band Remo Four.

In the late nineties he was to be found driving a taxi cab in Liverpool.

Sadly he commited suicide about 4 years ago.

By the time Frank came on board, the ban...

Had Mike Pender enjoyed commercial success, with his one and only solo release, "It's Over" then I believe it is fair to say MP'S Searchers would have been shortlived. The single, especially the 12" version featured a great guitar solo, not by MP, actually played by a guy called John ...

"You can't lie to a liar" appeared on the Searcher's fifth album for Pye.

The writing is credited to Hanpton,Churchill (Your Guess is as good as mine) it seems clear however it is not written by The Searchers

Does it matter if Frank was a original or not. The fact is he has been with the Searchers for nearly 37 years, only John has been in the band longer. Would Brian Bennett be classed as a non original of The Shadows, his name is as synonymous with them as Frank Allen's is with the Searchers. The vast ...
