Re: Brian Jonestown Massacre
Oh, a less depressing thing about this video: Guitarist Frankie's had a couple Ricks (including a 12 string 360) and so have other members, but the one on the floor in this video was a prop from the tv show. They had a bunch of instruments just laying around as set decoration and if anyone wanted to...

Re: The Quarter After
Very cool. Will you catch him at one of the shows this year? I live in New Orleans and am missing Jazz Fest, so bummed out about it because of the Beach Boys (but going to Psych Fest in Austin that weekend). I may make it to Bonnaroo though.

Re: Dead Meadow
We run in the same pack, yeah. We didn't want to be stressed out planning a wedding, so we left all the details to fate. It wasn't until the day before that I realized we didn't have music for the ceremony (crazy because we're a musical family) and Jason came to the rescue--a very talented hero!

Re: Dead Meadow
He played at our wedding as I was coming down the aisle--a really nice, simple wedding march on acoustic guitar. It was almost the best part of the daypocaloc wrote:They all rock, but the singer/guitarist is just amazing.

The Quarter After
Someone had mentioned this band in a thread for the Byrds. I wanted to post this because the video is special, not only because of the Rick; but because Nelson Bragg is on tambourine. He tours with the Beach Boys and Brian Wilson and will be touring this summer with Brian Wilson AND the Beach Boys. ...

Steve Kille is incredible. I go see these guys every chance I get. One of my favorite live shows.

Thanks a ton, Brian. I'm just getting familiar with the register. Very cool. Going to add a few more Ricks I know, hopefully this week.

Re: Model of the Week Eleven: The 2030/2050
Thanks for the welcome, Rickenbrother. @Kira and Brian, yeah thanks! I had read about some Rick finishes changing color in their cases in other threads; but hadn't seen anything about Jetglows going blue. You must be right, that seems like the most likely scenario here though. I suppose a lot of peo...

Re: The Black Angels
Great band, great instruments and killer female drummer. Christian's selling a bass right now, not a Rick though.

Re: Brian Jonestown Massacre
All the gear in that video is gone now, all stolen while on tour and never recovered. I could be wrong; but I believe them to be Rick-less now, except for a band member named Ricky.

Re: Model of the Week Eleven: The 2030/2050
Fascinating to read this thread. I have a 2030 and its difficult to find info on them. Mine's a really dark navy blue. It almost looks black. Does anyone know what this color is called? Its not Jetglow and too dark for Midnight Blue. I'm wondering if it might have faded this color? I have seen one o...
