Re: A fresh Lollar Horseshoe

Looks beautiful Bob!
I put a Lollar HS in the 72 I bought from Garret and it sounds great.

Re: GC Rickenbacker 4001S Special?

- I too was hoping for a bit more vintage/retro influence with these new basses. I just look forward to the day when RIC's issues over Lollar replacement pups are finally put to bed and they start incorporating original design horsies in their basses once again... Ash And another thing, instead of ...

Re: GC Rickenbacker 4001S Special?

I can identify with the OPs complaints, as I've had my share of issues with Rickenbacker. That said, I was able to buy one of the 15 SnoGlo 4003's and it played perfect right out of the box. FWIW.

Re: Sure Wish There Was Something New

My point was that they do not seem to take into account what their customers would like to see. I am, however, happy to be corrected on this. No, you are absolutely correct on this. Given that we are a business, we take into account what our customers want to buy . A case in point is the comment ab...

Re: Phantasmagorion Light Projector

I'm not sure I know what this is exactly, but when I read a description of one in an earlier post I became very interested in finding out more. I collect lights from the 50's and 60's, especially ones with movement, and it sounds like this could be a holy grail of vintage, moving lights! When I was ...

Re: Lollar lawsuit

But won't you agree that the company has an obligation - perhaps only moral - to satisfy this demand, if you will not allow others to do so?
Agreed.
Either make them or allow other someone else to do so.

Halloween Craziness!

My band Crack Sabbath (no, we're not a Black Sabbath cover band) played last night, and I thought I'd share some photos since there is a Ric involved.

Mouse costume curtesy of my girlfriend. It was part of our Mardi Gras costume a couple of years ago.

I love gold pick guards on the right color bass. That kinda looks blueboy-ish. Very nice, whatever the color.
