Re: How do you say it?

I have both 4001 and 4003 and I always refer to them as my "one" and my "three"

Re: Rickenbacker Flatwounds

Anyone tried LaBella flats? I am using them on my 82 4001 and they give me that characteristic Ric twang and they really feel pretty good at least to me.

Re: Least Favorite Bassists

Jack Casady. I know a lot of people think he is a bass god, but I've never been able to "get it" with his playing.

I have similar thoughts about Jack Bruce. The guy is a legend - no doubt, but I just can not see the genius in his bass playing.

A Toaster For My 4001

I am looking for a reasonable place on line to get a toaster for my 4001.

Re: 4001CS Production Dates Mistery

Oh no, I didn't mean the serial number, but the certificate number. Must be 1, 2 or 3 as mine from December 1990 is #5

Robert Truhillo with Metalica. Can't stand his crawling on the stage. The guy just can not get vertical.

4001CS Production Dates Mistery

Everywhere I look I see it consistantly stated that the 4001CS Chris Squire signature was produced from 1991 - 2000. I have the #5 and had it confirmed by Rickenbacker that it was made in December 1990. What's up!? Would it be some kind of a prototype or kind of like the new car models - produced in...

Ric 4001 Thumb Rest

After a long search I finally found an original thumb rest for my JetGlo 4001. I have never seen one and when it arrived I noticed that one side of it is cut in a straight angle (90 degrees) and the other is angled a bit more. Before installing it I wanted to make sure which side is the top and whic...

Re: Model of the week 18: Chris Squire Limited Edition

It is often stated that the production of CS started in 1991, but my #5 is dated December 1990
