I have both 4001 and 4003 and I always refer to them as my "one" and my "three"

Anyone tried LaBella flats? I am using them on my 82 4001 and they give me that characteristic Ric twang and they really feel pretty good at least to me.

Jack Casady. I know a lot of people think he is a bass god, but I've never been able to "get it" with his playing.

I have similar thoughts about Jack Bruce. The guy is a legend - no doubt, but I just can not see the genius in his bass playing.

I am looking for a reasonable place on line to get a toaster for my 4001.
Any recommendations?

Oh no, I didn't mean the serial number, but the certificate number. Must be 1, 2 or 3 as mine from December 1990 is #5

August 1990 - so what sequential number would this be?

Everywhere I look I see it consistantly stated that the 4001CS Chris Squire signature was produced from 1991 - 2000.
