For a CHEAP compressor, I really like my DOD Milk Box. I paid $35 for it.

Thank you, Rictified. I did what you said and I'm still having problems getting the neck even on both sides. Right now, I have the bass side rod tightened as far as it will go and there's still a small amount of relief on that side (Holding a straight edge against the neck there's a gap large enough...

No range of adjustment left on truss rods

In order to get a straight neck on my '02 330, I have to tighten the bass side rod as far as it will go and the treble side is only tightened 1/3 of a turn. Right now the neck appears to be completely straight and I'm able to set the action where I want it. Should I be concerned with this?

I bought the Pro Junior, and I'm very pleased with how it sounds with my 330. Voiced to be dark? On the bridge pickup, I have to roll back the tone control a little because its actually too bright sounding even with the tone knob set to 1 on the PJ.

Truss rod questions

Last night I adjusted the truss rods on my '02 330/6. I noticed the bass side rod is harder to turn than the treble side, and the treble side rod is just barely tightened down. If I were to loosen it another third of a turn or so it would become loose. Is this normal? Also, I noticed the threads on ...

The neck might be too straight or backbowed. It probably just needs a truss rod adjustment.

Can you get a good chime from the Pro/Blues Juniors? I've heard some people complain about a lack of high end from these amps.

Fender Pro Junior

I went to Guitar Center to try out a Vox AD30VT, but ended up liking the Pro Junior they had better than the Vox. Unfortunately, they didn't have any Rickenbackers in stock, but with a Strat and an Epiphone Casino the Pro Junior seemed to have much more chime and complexity than the AD30 on the Fend...

I'd prefer the 21 fret neck because the neck pickup is supposed to sound better in that position, but I don't think the V64 and Carl Wilson models are worth the extra money.

With a capo on the first fret and holding down the low E the 17th fret as you said, the gap appears the largest around the 6th to 8th frets.

Dead sounding E string

The low E string on my 330 sounds hollow and has very little sustain in comparison to the other strings. The problem only occurs when it is fretted, and it seems to get worse the farther up the fretboard. Could this be a problem with the neck or becuase of too low action? I don't have a feeler gauag...

"How would the 330 or 620 hold up for soloing with OD" My 330 with hi gains has a good overdriven rock sound and I've never had a problem getting enough sustain for the types of music I play. One thing you should take into consideration is that Rick necks are fairly narrow which might be a...

Stiff feeling neck

Last night I was cleaning gunk off my strings, and I unintentionally knocked the low E and D strings out of their nut slots. When I put them back into place and retuned the guitar, I noticed that there seems to be more tension on the strings, like I went up a string gauge. I know Ricks aren't exactl...
