Re: Partial Capo, Anyone?

I used to mess around with "Dropped E" tuning, capo the top 5 strings at the 2nd fret, leaving the low E open. Gives you the nice ringing D (E) chord, but still lets you play a G (A) chord with standard fingering. We can mess around with them next vocals only rehearsal for Getty.

Re: Tut tut.........

This very guitar and another 380-esque one were discussed on this forum several years ago. They were made by a former member and caused much wringing of hands and gnashing of teeth.

Peter Buck. Still don't have that 360 JG, but it's nice to have goals. My 360 FG works pretty good.

I'll take the contrary view. Go for it. It's just a guitar, and it can be whatever you want it to be.

Re: New Dakota

I can tell you from experience that going to 12's on pretty much any guitar will require some work on the nut. Keep the guitar stock until it comes back, then have it setup the way you want. I wouldn't think having a set of 12's would void the warranty, but you never know. I have them setup on all m...

Re: Trade in one of your Rics???

I traded a 330 a while back for my Heritage 535. I never could bond with the neck on the 330, and it was a case queen while my 360 got all the play time. So I sent it off to a new home and got a guitar I absolutely love in exchange. Everybody came out a winner.

It's a great read. Pretty much everything on that guitar was hand-made, except the tuners and frets.
