Yikes! And I'm still writing 2009 on my checks! I was 'way off! Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Kris.

Stanley Clarke's Pre-Alembic Days!

I came across this video of Return To Forever playing 'Hymn of The Seventh Galaxy' from '74 and I was surprised to see Stan Clarke playing a Jetglo Rickenbacker 4000! Awesome raw fusion! Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFP-alYNq5I PS: I know this video has been posted before...I just wanted to...

Re: Great American Guitar Show

Angelo, don't you remember talking to a guy that looked like this?! >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I missed most of you guys but I did get to hang with Chris Clayton, John B. and Angelo E. for a bit. AND I came out of there with a (non-Rick) purchase. (Did I say that out loud?) I've gone to every GAGS for the pas...

Great American Guitar Show

GAGS is at the Valley Forge Convention Center this weekend. Anyone planning to attend? I believe Chris will have the POTR booth there, as usual.

Best time I've had with my clothes on (try NOT to picture that)!

Thank you Shelby & Chris for a fantastic day! And thanks for letting me sub for Steve in The Toonz! It was a blast!

Re: Can we get a MARF head count?

That's MY long lost 4003DG that I brought to MARF I. Marc couldn't get it out of the room because it's a giant 4003DG!

Re: Can we get a MARF head count?

Yeah, it sure has, Jeff! I bought and sold a few Ricks in the meantime. I'm pining for my 4003DG that I sold to a buddy. I've been trying to convince him to resell it to me. Maybe I'll have it back by MARF III!

Re: Robert Plant & Alison Krauss

I've heard several songs from their album, 'Raising Sand' and I like most of it. I've been a big fan of both and I like the idea of 'big name stars' expanding their musical tastes out of their home genre. When I first heard this tune, I couldn't believe that was Plant singing with Alison! I give Rob...

Re: Gretsch 6120DC - TV Jones?

That is one beauty-ful 6120DC, Rob! Can someone give me the lowdown on Gretsch's Rocking Bar bridge as compared to the Adjusto-Matic bridge? How does the Rocking Bar hold intonation, since there are no saddles? I'm in the process of choosing a Gretsch but I've been limiting my selection to models wi...

Re: Gibson robot guitar

I'm wondering how much 'collector value' the Robot Guitar will have in, say, 20 years...especially the first edition model. From what I've heard, subsequent editions might have different finishes than the blue & silver burst. It's makes me wonder if I should spend the $2,200 for one just for it'...

Scratch me from the list, guys. I'll be going to Texas that weekend. Luckily, the Dallas Guitar Show is happening, so I can still feed my 'guitar jones'. It's ironic that I live about 20 minutes from POTR, go there every few weeks to hang out with Chris & Darrel, but can't make it there for MARF...

Will do! You are an extremely talented young guy. And it blows me away that you learned to play lefty bass for the role of Paul. Nice job!
