Re: Where is everyone?
There were times when a day after Rickenbacker shows off 3 short scales we'd be on page 10 of a heated discussion by now. Just sayin'.

Photoshop "mods"
Anyone else here photoshops Ric bass pics to see what possible mods would look like?
How about this one. A 4003S JG with black guard turned into a 4000.

Re: Where is everyone?
I'm still here. But I've pretty much said all I had to say, and showed off my Rics more than once.
I don't see a flow of new members like we had in the past. I guess they go to social media now.

Re: Need some help
Since RIC and Chris Clayton are out stock on p/n 05200 screws, I found this and ordered one hundred #3 * 3/8 screws (for $4.20, free shipping), so if anyone here needs some of them, just let me know. http://www.microfasteners.com/smpp0306-3-x-3-8-pan-head-sheet-metal-screws-phillips.html http://www....

Need some help
I need to replace some oxidized screws on my 4003 Shadow bass, but here's the problem - there is no Rickenbacker dealer in Israel, and ordering through RIC's website is US only. I emailed Customer Service and they can't help. Chris Clayton is out of stock on pickguard screws. Can someone here please...

Re: Vintage Pickup Question?
I have reissue horseshoe and toaster on my '73 (click the link in my signature to see pic) and man does that bass sound fantastic. The only mod needed is drilling 4 new holes for the surround.

Re: Bass LOVE!!!
Something is terribly wrong indeed. I hate it when the handrest is assembled the wrong way with the "ears" above the springs and not under, leaving it a mile high.cheyenne wrote:Somethings terribly wrong here!

Re: Black pickguard and truss rod covers
I have wondered about the "very white" pick guards myself. I looked around to see if anyone made one in cream or ivory, but didn't find one. A friend suggested tortoiseshell. Found that, but it wasn't cheap. Order a clear pickguard and spray the back with whatever shade of white you want....

Re: Black pickguard and truss rod covers
I'm all about FG + BT, but it's never quite right to me with the white binding. Bummer you can't change that too!!! Not a problem here imho. http://lordonly.net/Images/John/lojtric1.jpg Also, black plastic parts against white binging works very well visually on Gibsons. http://media.guitarcenter.co...
