Nice! Love the way the peghead looks.
Do these come with checker binding now?

Re: Rick AzureGlo = Finish colour shift under lights?

Right. It's the clearcoat, not the blue.
Same as "blacklighting" a vintage instrument to check for an original finish.

Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric

Yes, subway 15. I had intention of getting a Subway 2x10 to go with it, but never got around to it. I do still have an Ampeg SVT-210 cab that sounds fantastic paired with the 15.

Re: Post of picture of you PLAYING your ric

A few years ago I downsized to a Mesa Subway D800+ with a single 15 cab. My absolute favorite amp!
Unfortunately, I only got to gig it twice before retiring.

Re: Ric 4001 fretboard separating from neck

If it doesn't go all the way to the nut, it isn't the "classic" separation that's caused by incorrectly adjusting the rods or a drop. IMO

Could be dried out wood?

You would have to have one built.

Re: 4001S or modded 4000?

I've read many people comment about the set-necks being punchier sounding. IIRC.
Not a bad thing in a bass.

Re: Wish List - Rickenbacker bass Offerings and Features

4004 with nice character maple, J-bass pick-up positioning, nice '60's shaped neck, 3-ply laminated neck-through + peghead wings.
