I wouldn't say accident, but definitely not what I was going for. Strange things happen when you aren't paying attention and grab a spray gun that you think has one color in it, and it has quite another.

The pics are pretty dark..The guitar's colors are actually quite a bit lighter and more transparent than depicted.

Al Nichol almost always played a Rick during, and before the Turtles when they were an instrumental surf band called the Crossfires, in which Kaylan and Volman were sax players. The song "Out of Control" features Nichol really giving the Rick a workout.
