Re: New to coil splitting HB1s---need some advice please
You can only "coil tap" a single coil pick up. While that's generally true, it's not a fact. You'll find that some Japanese guitars, mainly from the 70's came with pickups where the individual humbucking coils have been tapped. The selector switches can then choose from various permutatio...

Orange County, California opportunity
Here's a local Orange County event that may appeal to some of you. The grand prize is enough studio time to complete an LP. I've recorded at Laguna Sound Studios before and have to say it's a pretty cool place to work.

Re: GC Rickenbacker 4001S Special?
Customer service flat out said, it was NOT there responsibility once the customer buys it. That's total baloney. Either you or GC can/could have returned this under the terms of the warranty- you said you have the warranty card and what it says there in black and white refutes your statement. Appar...

Re: GC Rickenbacker 4001S Special?
Set up was like an amateur did it. It was a really bad example of a poor quality controlled bass coming from the factory. I also do not understand why no "0" fret? All the important, yet simple things for best playability were overlooked. Regardless, of personal playing preferences, all f...

Re: Help with a TR 75 Stereo Amp...
All that will be needed is the ric-o-sound stereo cable. I think there's some confusion here. You only need a plain stereo cable between the amp and ROS output of the guitar. Possibly you've seen a non-factory kit where the stereo cord detaches from the splitter box- in which case you COULD use the...

I should mention that Guitar Center still has another model coming as well, maybe as early as next month.
Let me give you guys a clue how you might see it.

He then told me that their agreement with Rickenbacker does not allow them to sell any Rickenbacker product for less than MSRP. Absolutely and totally incorrect. What IS true and what he may have said to you is that we don't allow dealers to ADVERTISE any price less than MSRP. (There are certain ex...

Close. All Platinum store plus a few select stores that we've added in areas that were otherwise under-represented. The Rickenbacker Dealer Locator identifies them.sloop_john_b wrote:Platinum Dealers only.

What could the the dollar to Euro rate possibly have to do with it?

Re: NRR-Recording advice needed
I guess this must be an older model I'm not familiar with, as I've personally never seen an Onyx that didn't have Firewire or at least a Firewire add-on slot. (I've owned both types.) Presumably, then, you have the Tascam style breakout cables already that would allow you to go into any number of ex...
