Re: Left handed production re-starts?

Wait, we just announced that we are back with Guitar Center (Platinum Stores) and lefties are available again and only 15 posts? I thought I heard some jaws dropping. Let people pick them up first before the comments role in! And while I am not a lefty player, it's good to see them gett...

Squackett

Found news on the release of the Chris Squire / Steve Hackett album on a facebook page. Looks like the release is in June and currently import only to the USA. You can find some details on Amazon about it. Amazon lists both a standard and special edition. And this URL: http://www.cherryred.co.uk/sho...

Re: What recordings do you listen to when you wanna hear a Ric?

Don't know if all of Marillion is Rick bass, but I haven't heard a bad tune by them yet. Not all of it is. Certainly alot less of the recent music. But I'm fairly sure I saw him playing a Rick back when I saw them perform Script live. Of course this was almost 30 years ago now, but I really seem to...

Auction Hunters

Watching the tv show auction hunters right now. And to my surprise, they just pulled a Rickenbacker frying pan guitar out of the crate they bought. Also what they said was a Rick amp, but they didn't show that well. And of course, the 'expert' didn't know how to pronounce Rickenbacker.....

Re: Cool!

While I never got to play Chris's RM, I did stand about six inches from it once and gave it as much of a going over as I could before Richard (Squire's tech) whisked it away. I did notice that the action seemed high, but when you shake hands with the man, you realize that he just may prefer it that...

Re: New George Harrison app for the iPad

This app is interesting indeed. Say, Brian, which guitar(s) do(es) MC play, what does he do with/to them and what familar tunes does he play on them (ie: Heartbreakers, Beatles, improv)? Well he does a little Harrison stuff, but very little. Sounded more like improv to me. Although it did seem fami...

Re: New George Harrison app for the iPad

I am also enjoying the app as well. The videos in particular are the best part I think. As for Rick content, the video of Mike Campbell playing the Rick was magical. They could have an hour of him playing it and I'd pay for it. You can really see the respect and joy he has being able to play this gu...

Re: A very mini RIO

We've got over 10 inches of snow today and I'll still be there. I actually thought about taking a weekend road trip. But glad I didn't given the weather. I'll just have to wait for a the larger one close by. Brian, wish I'd checked this forum on Saturday. I could have picked you up very e...

Re: Official Rickenbacker Guitars Facebook page

My question, what group is the sander listening to? Petty, Byrds, Smithereens? Whaddya think? Given Ron's taste, I can almost guarantee you it's something country. Also, I'm told he's quite a good musician in his own right. I wonder if all of the Rick employees are musicians or at least closet musi...
