I always liked yours, Ronn. With a bit of originality to it too.iamthebassman wrote:When I painted my lefty 4001S back in the early 90s I printed out screen shots from Hello Goodbye and I Am The Walrus videos.

There are several good photos of it, if you look for them.

Re: My Paul McCartney MMT Paint Job
Wow! I had always thought he'd left the back alone, like Brian's replica. While I do get that it was the times, Macca ruined a beautiful fireglo finish. And as big of a George freak as I am, he doesn't get off easy with Rocky, either, FWIW. I do like what The Fool did to Clapton's Cream SG, though....

Jake, here is a picture of the back of McCartney's MMT. Not great quality, but the color is clearly white.

Re: My Paul McCartney MMT Paint Job
Very cool. What are you doing on the back of the body? McCartney's was white. When I had my C64 done by Paul W, he did the back of mine in an amber fireglo. It came out very nice.

Re: Randy Meisner 4001
Thanks, Jeff. And you are right. His vocals were amazing. Too bad his health isn't good. It would have been cool to see him on tour with them.

Randy Meisner 4001
I was just watching the HISTORY OF THE EAGLES and was wondering what year Randy's 4001 was. Anyone know?

I don't know where they are. You could possibly do a search but I know there was a lot of criticism for the anniversary models. But not from me. I love the finish, the TRC and special pickguard.

Re: Will There Be an 85th Anniversary Special Edition
Given all the criticism that John Hall and Rickenbacker took over the 75th anniversary model I wouldn't be surprised if we never saw an anniversary model again.

Re: 4001c64 FG or MG? - from a Beatles standpoint
The FG was from 64-66. The MMT was from 67-69. So they were pretty close in duration.
