Kent, do you actually have a line on a Monty? I'd imagine they wouldn't be easy to find.

thanks Mitch... is that a good thing? Were the '63 rick 325's using something different?

this pix is from an old ebay auction:
"It was factory built in 2004 with an ebony fretboard and F hole as requested"

That F-hole addition is a nice touch.... kind of a 1996 350.

Reserve was not met and the bidding went as high as $2850.

Oops I mean't to type "350v63". 325s in the 50s had pickups with lower output.I don't know about 1963,probably closer to the 7.4 toasters.

Kent,

Buy the Monte.

Aitch you very wisely kept me away from that 330. Now I know why you did not bring it with you. I hate it when you do this Image

I feel RAS setting in again.

Thanks Howard... only one word for that: beautiful.

John: Susanna Hoffs Limited Edition! (?) As that great philosopher Borat has said: "Beddy nice!".

I didn't know the 350SH came in MB... I thought they were only made in jetglo like this:

So.. what is that a MB 350 picture of? Some other 350SH ? One that was refinished? Or something else with a SH pickguard put on?

That monty 350 with the ebony fretboard was some sort of inside job that JH seemed none too happy about. The pic of the one with the SH pickguard is not a SH model. No binding. I have a Jetglo 350V63 that I'm thrilled with. The F hole mod is a beautiful look. Paul has done this for at least one forum member and I'm planning to send him mine when I feel I can part with it for an extended period. Maybe have binding added too?!

I had an extra SH pickguard lying around, so I put it on for fun. Everything else is from the factory, no mods. Its a '350V63 MB EBONY FB', per the model description.
