At the request of jsm610:

Original style jacks available here, among other places --->
http://www.vetco.net/catalog/product_in ... ts_id=6563

P.S. They have both parts at http://www.ictradenet.com, if you need both and want to save on postage.

Wait a minute...

...is this the same connector as used for US made Vox amp footswitches?

I don't have any from that family anymore (Super Beatle, Buckingham, etc.). Anyone here have one?

Not mine!

(Yes, it's probably not original...)

IIRC, not all of the pins are connected ... if my brain (and hand ... and eyes) didn't hurt from initialing/dating over 1000 pages of data output today, I'd see if I had some more pictures ... zzzzz .... 8)

Dr Who, just do it over your lunch break.

6-pin appears out of stock (or production). Good thing I bought a spare!

Here’s the original style non-angled plug, still available, for you DIYers and completists:

Perhaps someone here should take one for the team and buy a dozen of the right plugs and store them for when someone needs one in a couple of years. And no, it won't be me, as my 336LS (Paul W. built 331 lightshow with added Accent vibrato) has a built in power source that I use exclusively.

Correct, only two of the pins are being used (#1 and #6).

So there are a variety of DIN plug styles that could be used for a 331, as long as male/female ends match.

True true true - my suggestions were more in the event that a 331 is missing its power supply and needs a new one fabricated. The originals were six pin.

But yes indeed, a new thing could be rigged up easily with no irreversible mods.
