Re: Bigsby for a 330
I'd suggest the B3; it doesn't require any drilled holes into the top of the guitar, and it's for thin acoustic electrics, which fits the description of the 330. I've seen one of these mounted and it looks a lot nicer than the B5, as the B3 fills in the ramp space on the 330 body quite nicely: http://www.bigsbyguitars.com/products_b3.html

B3 won't be too long, Paul? I can't remember ever seeing one on a 330/360 before.

that looks more like a B6,Scastles wrote:340 with a B3.
Re: Bigsby for a 330
One thing I would be concerned about with the longer Bigsbys is the deflection angle of the strings coming up to the back of the bridge. The B-5 has a bar that the strings go under to provide maximum deflection. Here's a photo of a B-5 mounted on a 345, the Bigsby works just fine and IMO looks great:
Here's another 345 that I don't have anymore; this photo shows the deflection angle better:

Re: Bigsby for a 330
The beauty of the B3 vs. the B5 is that no holes are drilled on the top with the B3. I'm gonna give it a whirl.

Wow! Great thread! Keep 'em coming!
Don't they make an end-mount model with two rollers? That would seem the ideal fit.

The b3 is a sure winner for me and just add my cents worth im gonna go with b3 on a 330 when i get it.Craig id be very interested in what you think after you have done the mod. Please pm me with your thoughts when you have 2 mins.Furthermore i have also been told that the B3 is not as good as the b5 with sustain.Anyway shallow as i am i do think the b3 looks better and the above 340 as far as im concerned looks far better.
Re: Bigsby for a 330
B7, B70, B700, B12 - all end mount models with double rollers. Has anybody tried one of these for fit?
Personally, I'm favoring the Bigsbys for my semi-hollow models but have found that they add too much sustain and darkness to my solidbody Rick. The old Gibson SG I had loved the B5's contribution, however. And naturally, they all looked great.

It's a B3. A B6 is narrower.

Re: Bigsby for a 330
From looking at the pic of the 340 with the B3, I doubt the B7 would fit due to the extra roller and longer length. The B3 just fits.kiramdear wrote:B7, B70, B700, B12 - all end mount models with double rollers. Has anybody tried one of these for fit?
