This more like "yellow", but it's white. If the white ones go yellow, wouldn't it make sense that the old yellow ones go...er...ochre?

I quite like that aged white-to-yellow color, especially on basses.

I think I have a Ric 620/12 Harngelb Yellow with black pickguard and binding. Thanks to this forum I finally found out what the name was. I knew it wasn't a refin, but I couldn't find any other Rics this color.
It is darker than it appears in the photos. Can a white Ric yellow that much ?

Yes, a white can yellow that much and more.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

I'm looking to sell this white/yellow 620/12. Are the white ones a rare color also? It was built April 1980.

Considering the translation, I guess harngelb is a better name for that color. They might have had some trouble selling p**s yellow guitars!cjj wrote:It's German, gelb is yellow, harn is urine... Really...

Yes, but, I believe the limited production of this color was made for Germany, where the name would be instantly understood...YukonCor55 wrote:Considering the translation, I guess harngelb is a better name for that color.
