Rick-O-Sound Stereo Kit

Post by Mark »

Hi,
Does anyone have a schematic for the Rickenbacker stereo splitter for use with the Rick-o-Sound facility on the guitars?
Regards.

I had an old kit and when I took it apart it really was nothing more than a stereo cable to two mono jacks. I've heard some people say it's more than that, but this one was just that. ca 1975

In any event, I've always just made a good splitter cable up that does the same thing - stereo plug at one end to two mono plugs, each using a different one of the two leads from the stereo pair. That rick-o-sound kit was an annoying little thing that just kinda clunked around following me around on stage like some lost puppy.

Yeah, it's clunky, and they were expensive new, considering that all they are is a stereo 'Y' cord. They're not easy to find, as they didn't sell well at $70 a pop, but for some collectors, well, they just hafta have one.
Show him the shirts, Adrian.
