330 gold pickguard

Post by doog »

Hi
I'm thinking of replacing my white pick-guard on my 330 fireglo to a gold one from pickguardian.com

The thing is I cant tell the difference between the
"Gold" color
Image
and the "Late 50's & Early 60's Gold (Brass)" color
Image

and how they will look on my fireglo rick.

Can be found here too:
http://www.pickguardian.com/pickguardia ... rials.html

Can anyone maybe link me for pictures of fireglo ricks with both of the pickguards colors?

Thanks a lot
D

I went with the "Gold" from pickguardian.
It's gold. Isn't that what you want?

Nice Scotty. A fine pair. Seeing as your are cleared to above top secret how do they get the caramel in the caramilk bar. :)
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Yeah, that is above top secret.
Even that wiki-leaks guy Julian Assange didn't dare reveal the gold TRC secret.

Send your TRC to PickGuardian, and they'll paint it to match the pickguards that you order.

Some examples:

viewtopic.php?p=751862#p751862

All of these guitars have the "Vintage Gold" guards from Pickguardian. My guitars also have genuine RIC plexi gold TRCs from several years ago which match the guards closely. The newer gold TRCs and guards RIC has been using are a closer match for Pickguardian's "Late 50's & Early 60's Gold".

Hi Scotty, I recently saw your post with your gold guards and TRC for your 330's and they looks absolutely beautiful. I recently got a Turquoise 330 that I fully intend on adding toasters and gold to. Where can I get a real gold TRC? If you don't feel comfortable giving out that info, I understand. Would it be possible for me to order one from you and you keep the secret? Any help or leads at all and I would be very very appreciative.

There are three options:

1 - ebay...and pay a King's ransom ($300 or so) for a ten dollar piece of plastic. You'll be getting ripped off and, on top of that, you'd be aiding counterfeiters or those dealing in contraband.
2 - make one yourself. I did that, and won't do it again. Talk about a royal pain in the glass.
3. buy a gold pickguard from pickguardian and send him your white TRC. He will paint it the exact gold as he uses for his gold guards.

Option three is the best.
