Nice one, thanks for the upload Scotty!
It would make sense that the one pictured was then sent off to the trade shows, as others had done in the past (V81 is a great example..), and is probably the same guitar Danny De'Lacey was playing. I don't see why it couldn't have been the same guitar sent to Rose Morris/PT but there were a few made at least.

If you are talking about Greg's…..I wonder if he ever got it repaired/restored?collin wrote: and I know another guy online who owns one bought off eBay, so there were at least three made...
Re: Rose Morris Rickenbacker Gallery
Yep, I don't think he has yet...he wouldn't share pictures until the resto was done. Poor thing was routed for humbuckers!jwilli wrote:If you are talking about Greg's…..I wonder if he ever got it repaired/restored?collin wrote: and I know another guy online who owns one bought off eBay, so there were at least three made...
Re: Rose Morris Rickenbacker Gallery
It was certainly one of the first made….slash sound hole, crushed pearl inlays, etc….. come on, Greg!
Re: Rose Morris Rickenbacker Gallery
Nah, it has a F-hole, not the crummy slash hole!jwilli wrote:It was certainly one of the first made….slash sound hole, crushed pearl inlays, etc….. come on, Greg!
Re: Rose Morris Rickenbacker Gallery
Well, Collin, my theory is that they were probably made side by side. The first batch of Rose Morris' were shipped in January of 1964. Surely talks with Rose Morris started by October of 1964, no?
I have no idea of why DE 524 ever left the factory but I bet it was a finished guitar by the start of 1964.

Re: Rose Morris Rickenbacker Gallery
Any good photoshoppers here im useless What about a shot of Colins 1993 next to a Modern C63? Anyone up for the challenge so we can see the differences in body shape?

First post here on this board...but was on the old board back in the 90s...wow, that long..anyway, picked this up earlier in the year and I believe it's the same one that's pictured on Ric's FB site. Grain looks similar. I need to get some better pics of it
