I recently acquired a 330 walnut, they're great indeed.parker_knoll wrote:have you played enough regular Ric hollowbodies to comment on how the Walnut is different in tone? They do seem to be going cheap(ish) at the moment.
Compared to my 360V64 it is much more resonant, lighter and has a more woodier tone to it.
Still it jangles like you'd expect and it sustains very well.
The new high gains are excellent, the adjustable poles make it possible to balance the volume out per string.
The neck is thicker than an the V64 which is ok, string spacing is wider too.
It's great in other words.
minor flaw: nut depth was not cut correctly, brigde slots are weirdly cut.
I now understand why the Beatles took the finish off their guitars.
