Re: Vintage Toasters
Hi Mike, welcome.
Do you mean "vintage style pickups" or do you think they're actually 1960s-era pickups?
They look like the standard scatterwound reissue vintage toaster pickups available from RIC today, same as on the C-series reissues. Hope that helps.

Re: Vintage Toasters
thanks, Collin.
after doing some research and talking with some guys...yes, i thought they were real vintage toasters and not reissues.
but, obviously, i'm not sure.

I couldn't view your pics on here, but I could on The Gear Page.

Re: Vintage Toasters
i think if you click on the link you can see them. when i went to post images, it said they were too large.
Re: Vintage Toasters
Again, I don't see any indication that they're vintage pickups.jakeisjake wrote:thanks, Collin.

The dimples on the top are different looking than the late 50s/early 60s pickups (and those had a different type of metal sheet on the bottom of the pickup). And the "dimples" on pickup bobbins were gone by '64.
They do look like scatterwound reissue pickups though. Which is what I think they are.
Re: Vintage Toasters
Yep as usual I agree with the C-dog.

Re: Vintage Toasters
thanks.
while i had hoped they were vintage...i am content with them being reissues (as opposed to a fake).

Re: Vintage Toasters
The good news? Scatterwound reissues sound about 99.9% the same. And look almost the same too.jakeisjake wrote:thanks.
