Neck width

Post by doog »

Hey
1. Was wondering if there's a Rick 360/12 V or C series with a Neck Width at Nut 44.45 mm (1 3/4'') like the 660/12 has.
Maybe there's specific years they made them wider? if not, which other models has that wider neck width?

2. Does the 360/12v64 has the same neck thickness as the C63? I know that in the 60's the necks was thinner, are there any models or reissues with a thinner neck like the 60's guitars had?

Thanks!

The 1993 Plus might be the guitar for you, c63 looks with an added middle pickup and neck like the 660/12.

I'm not sure that is possible these days as the old, thin necks had straight channels for the old style truss rods, whereas to current, new style rods require a curved channel necessitating a thicker neck to accommodate them.

On V64's, the necks are thin from the 80's to about '94-'96. Then they get thick... thicker,... thickest around '05, and sometime in the late 2010's get thinner, but still not as thin as the 60's, or even the 80's. C63's: I've never owned one but I hear they are decent. Still probably not like an original.
