Rickenbacker V64 360 12 nut

Dear All,

Have just bought a Ric V64 360 12.
I heard that Rickenbacker changed the nuts on standard 360 models around 2004 in order to make them easier to play. Does anyone have any information on this?
I figure if this is the case it might be a good idea to change the nut on the V64 in order to do the same
