Just bought a new 325 C64. It was built back in June. Very nice guitar. I believe I'm going to like it. Still learning the controls and what they do. The action is really good.

Congrats Donald, the new C64 models are wonderful, and quite accurate to the 60s originals.
Enjoy!

Re: 2018 325C64
Welcome and congrats! The big 4 knobs are pretty self explanatory. The 5th is infamously elusive to many. It's a blend... technically it is a reversed 2nd volume knob on the neck pickup, but just think of it as a blend.
Some fun things to do with the 5th knob include:
-do what they tell you in the RIC manual with it to set volume levels.
-turn the bass tone all the way down, and use it like a poor man's wah.
-??? just experiment.
-Profit.
Something I'm doing on all my 2-pickup, 4(or 5)-control guitars these days is turning the volume on one of the pickups (usually neck) down to 9. It really opens up the tone somehow. Electronics experts can probably explain why.

Thanks for the information. I've played Fender Strats for years and always wanted a Ric. Finally gor around to getting one. I really like it. The short scale works out for my small hands. Wish I had got one sooner.

Wait a minute. That's a 2018 guitar? Jeez, they haven't changed a thing on that model since it came out in 1964! You got ripped off, buddy. Like buying a typewriter in the year 2018.

Enjoy it.
I got mine five years ago. A 2013 Rickenbacker....that has what was on the guitar in 1964! Strange.
But you are right. We have a 1964 guitar in absolutely mint condition.
