M15-A
I have recently come into possession of a 1957 Rickenbacker M15-A amplifier. It still works but there is a crackling noise, power and standyby lights work intermittently, tremolo doesn't work at all and speaker is blown (original Jensen speaker). Does anyone have any pictures of the amp section and a schematic so I can see if any modifications were made to the amp. Thanks

Welcome to the Forum, Keith!
I am not certain that this is the right schematic, but it is for the B series bass amps:

Re: M15-A
There are a number of M-15 amps on the Register, some with amp section photos:

There is also one B-15A amp listed there: http://www.rickresource.com/register/vi ... p?id=18034
I was not aware that there was a Rick M-15A amp model. Is that the designation on the control panel of your amp?

Re: M15-A
I just posted pictures on the Register, of course the problem is I had to register it as a M15, but it has the A suffix. If admin could add the M15-A to the list I'd have the only one.

Keith, if you PM the admin (Peter) and request the addition of an A designation, he'll do it (I had him add the RM3261 model to the list when it was not in it).bluewood wrote:I... If admin could add the M15-A to the list I'd have the only one.

Re: M15-A
Keith: I believe this amplifier dates to 1956. The Jensen speaker code has it at 1956 or 1966 and I consider that 1956 is the more likely given its construction and comparison with other amplifiers we have collected from the period. The A designation is for tremelo.
