What are you looking for that you don't get from the Eden?

Both are great amps. I have both and used the B-22 to record all the bass on my band's last album.

Good luck finding either.

Both of these were issued as guitar amps rather than models for bass. While that doesn't mean you can't use them for bass, there certainly were many more RIC amps more suitable and built for the purpose. The TR120B or the later RB120 come to mind.

Hi,
I have a Transonic 200 and I love it for guitar but I don't like the bass through it as much. It seems like the tone controls zero in better on guitar frequencies than bass. I have a 4001 and usually play it through a Mesa Boogie Walkabout which I love. The Transonic cabinet would actually make a great Bass cabinet, I have one with 2 12s and 1 15" Altec, but it is too big for me to transport.

What he said. The TR35B is lower-powered but also very cool.

Here's a pic of my B-22 from last Saturday's recording session. This amp has a really unique tone with a bass.

If you use the links on the right side of this page, http://www.andyvaughanmusic.com, you'll hear my bass played through the B-22.

My RB30 is a very nice amp for practicing at home. I also have a B-115 which as far as I know is the only tube-combo for bass ever built by Rickenbacker. That one is waiting for a restoration. (But since I also have an '63 Fender bassman, a Marshall Superbass (LEM1992) stack and a Fender Musicmaster in working order I am not in a hurry.)

I can say I love my TR35B. It has been my work horse since I got it.
