Hello,

I'm new to this forum and wondering if anyone can help me ID and date an amp I recently stumbled across ... you must get this type of request all the time, but if anyone can offer any info or sites to research, I'd really appreciate it!

Rickenbacher "Electro"

Serial # found on inside on "coil" - CS 5183
Serial # etched on back of speaker - V 3031
Tubes: Rectifier 5Y3 G, (2) 6V6 GT/G, Preamp 6SN7 GT
It has a metal grill ... no controls, one input

This is an Electro early 1933 or 1934 lunchbox amplifier. You can see some photos at the following link. Congratulations a nice plug in and play amp from yesteryear.

Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
