Thanks Ted,

LOTS of rain and some wind so far. No flooding YET!

It doesn't seem too bad though, but by later afternoon, I may have something different to report! ;)

They're calling it "Frankenstorm" up here. Be interesting to see what pans out.

I really hope it misses us. Just in case, I'm taking the afternoon off to clean out my gutters and trim some branches. At least I don't have a deck anymore for another 120 ft tall oak to smash through.

Make sure your drains are clear of leaves folks.

You'd be amazed how many homes down here flooded due to clogged storm drains.

We're still dry, which is amazing to me. I thought for SURE I'd be fishing out my living room windows again.

Still raining here, but it comes in waves. Seems like Stuart is right on the fringe of the heavy stuff falling just a few miles south of us.

Hope you folks up north are spared!

Yep, thats what they are calling it in NEPA as well, I'm interested to see if it will be legitimate or just another false alarm.
A couple years ago, a rive got so high that it almost came over a small road bridge (about overpass height). The whole town was closed down.

Oh yeah, Ironically it was called hurricane Ivan.
At the time, as a Fifth grader, It was pretty much an honor to have a storm named after me. I thought it was so cool. I cut out newspaper articles and just loved every minute of it.

I'm really worried about my friends and family back east. Many trees down, power out. My brother's stupid@## boss wanted him to go to work today. I see that the Hudson River has breached Manhattan amongst other very serious problems in the NYC area. Glad my brother didn't go into work.
I hope his boss has to swim home tonight!

I was without power for over 21 hours and since I didn't have a generator and since the sump pump had stopped, my basement flooded. You should have seen me in the room where I keep my Rics and other basses when it started to flood...now that was a rescue mission! Despite the squishy carpet and vacuuming the water in the basement, we were very fortunate compared to some people losing their homes or even worse. This was a real nasty storm, and I'm glad that my friends and family made it through relatively unscathed. Back to work tomorrow! :D

Glad to hear you (and your Rickenbackers) fared ok Ron.

We were extremely lucky here on Nantucket Island to dodge this monstah.

Hope Chris @ POTR and all of our Jersey forumites are safe and sound.

Gawd bless. 8)
Watch those teeth, Marlin. I'm not sure we've properly sedated the beast . . .
