64 450/12 on Ebay

Check out the pic of the headstock. One would think that the open back tuners shown wouldn't be stock but they are. This is at least the 3rd example of Nov/Dec. 450/12 with those exact tuners. Mine has them too. Well 6 of them anyway.

This is a whole different animal, from the Capri period when "cresting wave" Rick solids were a new and unproven item.

Note the old elements like the sax strap disc, rectangular cutout for the string anchor, and of course the nameplate.

Their asking is a bit high, of course...

The one on Ebay was at Truetone last August! I remember myself and Darren weren't too sure if it was a re-fin. The colour looked a little odd.

BTW the '59 425 looks alot like the one Craig Brody had for a long time, and IMO the finish is original Autumnglo. I'd wanna look at it close-up, but from what I see in the pics looks pretty good.

My 450/12 is a '66 FG in similar condition, but with the original silver case. I'm thinking more in the $1400-$1500 price range would be a fair price.
