Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and sit in with the band whenever you can, to keep your chops up!

I meant the '60's Bandmaster, master!

Ah, grasshopper, our thread is too long and slippery...I'm thinking $1250.00 to a Forum member. Plus shipping, of course. I can bring it down to LA in August if you're interested.

Thanks for the offer. Piggyback means an amp head, right?

My problem is that shipping a "combo" amp (like a twin reverb for example) to Israel would cost around $700... I would rather search for something local first.
There is a pretty nice '64 Fender Showman for sale here. (the owner wants $1200) Any opinions about this amp head?

Thanks.
So long and thanks for all the fish!

How many watts is that Bandmaster....looking them up, I see 40 and 50 watts listed.

Tanks.

I think they are 40 watts, nominally, but the '66 one I had that Gerald Weber massaged sounded like 100 watts!!!

As I recall, both the Bandmaster and the Bassman heads clocked in at 50 watts. I had both, but preferred the Bassman. I still remember that as being a great guitar amp, bass notwithstanding.

I prefer a higher wattage tube amp for electric 12. One that can get good clean tones without distortion at club volume. AC30's are fab amps but get too distorted and compressed past 4-5 on volume for clean 12 tones.

Ceramic speakers also help with cleaner tones.

The Roland JC120 also works well for solid state and isn't too heavy.
