Rickenbacker 315 at Elderlys

Post by Ricky63 »

There is a beautiful 1962 Rickenbacker 315 model that just showed up for sale at Elderlys. It's a 3/4 scale neck as well. Nice pics- check it out:

This is super cool and beautiful, but it is a 1960. I love this guitar.

Even more cool if it's a 1960! Gorgeous guitar.

I'm not surprised a piece like that went quickly.....even the case was in great condition for a 50 year old guitar. Does anyone know what the stylistic differences are between a 315 and a 325?? I wasn't even aware of the 315 model.....

One of the rarest Rickenbacker model/year out there...

BTW a 315 is a 325 with 2 pickups.

That one is really cool.

This is also a rare example:

I'll bite, Gary. What's rare about that one?

(edit) It's all turned around!

It's also got a TOM bridge and I don't see any other holes so unless it was refinished, that TOM is stock

That bridge on the JG 310 is def not stock. Holes were probably drilled over the stock holes. Very cool lefty, though.

+1

I have a stock bridge to replace the tuna-matic ... :) The tuners had also been changed, but the holes were drilled out for Grovers, so they will stay on it. There couldn't have been too many 310 LH made, for sure!

That is a beautiful guitar. I wonder what it would have sold for in a good economy?
