Looks like a .0047µf cap for the bridge pickup, you know, for that extra jangle.bobbyemmett wrote:anyone with an actual answer to the question?

Re: Looking for a 450 wiring schematic or control cavity photos
anyone have a schematic with the .0047 cap along with the .047 caps? what happens if it isn't there? there are two photos posted in this thread, the vintage cavity has the extra cap, and the newer 1999 cavity does not..

There are photos of 3 wiring setups on this thread, two vintage (in the same post) both with the .0047 cap and the 1999 without. The 1999 is wired just like any other 4-control, 2 pickup Rick of that era. It's not going to have the .0047 cap.bobbyemmett wrote:anyone have a schematic with the .0047 cap along with the .047 caps? what happens if it isn't there? there are two photos posted in this thread, the vintage cavity has the extra cap, and the newer 1999 cavity does not..

The little turquiose cap is a 0.0047 high pass for the bridge pickup. It's wired in series between the toggle switch and volume control, centre terminal. These appeared in most models from late '58 until about 1987

Hi Bobby, sorry that it took a while for me to find and scan this diagram. It is from the Rittor book:bobbyemmett wrote:anyone have a schematic with the .0047 cap along with the .047 caps? what happens if it isn't there? there are two photos posted in this thread, the vintage cavity has the extra cap, and the newer 1999 cavity does not..
BTW, I think that this diagram is the view from the top of the pickguard.
