Gary Shoe w/ '65 Ric 360/12

Post by Gary Shoe »

I am sure glad to find this forum, and have already enjoyed a wide variety of postings. Here's a picture of my 1965 360/12. It's all original/pretty much intact except that I lost the cover plate for the bridge. if anyone knows the source for one, i'd be interested. Thanks, Gary

Welcome, Gary! Can't be many like yours around. 8)

New bridge covers can be ordered from the RIC website boutique. :)

Thanks Kira and Brian. I was wondering about simply contacting Rickenbacker for the part since many of the hardware components seem to have stayed the same over the years. Why change a good thing, eh?
I've had it since '71, and thought it was old then :)
...as it had already obtained wear marks in the first position on the back fo the neck by then.

I promise to post more pics of my Ric. I was visiting the forum where the janglers post links to their home recordings. It's as you said, Brian, about never getting tired of pics, I also never tire of hearing peoples' home recordings of covers and originals using their Rics. It may sound corny, but it's like ever since I was 13 (and I'm of an age now that I get AARP ads for Assisted Care Insurance :) ) ...the jangle is like a spiritual mantra that the Byrds, Beatles, Beach Boys, et.al. implanted into our souls long ago !

That sure is nice, Gary. Don't worry about the bridge cover, a lot of us remove them anyway. Every time I get a Ric, I always take it off. For comfort and palm muting

Beautiful butterscotch aging on that one, Gary. Welcome to the forum.
