I went down there today, I thought it was so great that you could be so close to those guitars. You're only probably just over a foot away from them. No photos were allowed, but Greg did a great job capturing what I saw today for all of us anyway (thanks Greg)
Also, there was a thread within the last month or so about the fireglo finish on a headstock where the middle bit horizontally had no color. George's was the same way, so it would appear it's correct historically.
