Early Rick-O-Sound input jack plates

Howdy,

Did any of the early Rics using the "new" stereo Rick-O-Sound option say, "Stereo Sound" on the plate, and not "Rick-O-Sound?"

Logic would tell me "no," but I ran into what I thought was a copy/clone not long ago that said "Stereo Sound" on it...

No, real Ricks never said "Stereo Sound", fakes did though. That's one way to determine if you're looking at a fake...

To my eye of what I've handled, they have always said 'Standard' and 'Rick-O-Sound' from the beginning, which was 1960.

How about Rickenbacker amps? I guess they had an input jack, but no jack plate as such.

That's funny... I've always thought of that plate as an "input jack plate," but you're right... it would be "output," wouldn't it?

When I read the topic my first reaction was this was about an amp... anyway, a guitar with an input jack must be faker!

Any guitar with an input jack is a failed amplifier.

I never record anything, but connected my Amplug AC30 to my notebook the other day... only to find out the PUs did not only work like usual, but were 50% working like microphones - interesting result, which made me wonder... last point I checked was the notebook, I recorded it through the headphone output, instead of the mic input! Still, a result I did not expect!

Microphones and speakers are both transducers. They can convert mechanical force (sound waves) into electric energy, and vice versa, too.
