1966 F HOLE 4005 Bass?

Post by holyg »

I own a 1965/67 4005 Rick hollow body bass that has a F hole instead of the cats eye slit. I believe it is a S model that was shipped to Europe. Does anyone know anything about this style bass bass? How many were produced? Thanks Motmot

I think some pictures would help.

they usually pop up in Italy and go by the Rose Morris designation 3261. I think one example recently sold by a forum member to a progrock star in Canada. I think I've seen around four in the past 10 years or so being advertised for sale. Quite rare, the RRF register lists 5 of them.

just realized I responded to one of the 5 identical threads in various subforums, so my information had already been provided by other experts there :-)

That would be me (the seller, not the progrock star! ). A picture of the 1967 Fireglo RM3261 is here:
