transitional hi gain?

Post by Revbrodiddley »

So i "stumbled" upon a pair of these. So thats what this is? First phase hi gain pickup?

I'm considering putting these in a 330 to see if theres any significant difference in tone. Does anyone have any experience with them? Know what they sound like? Know what they're worth?

thanks!

I've had these types of pickups in a few vintage Ricks. I like them! They're a bit "dirtier" sounding and not as chimey clean as most Rick pickups. Give me a shot!

Transitional hi gain?

I have Transitional High Gains on my 480 model from 1973. They are really gainy and give that guitar a real dirty sound. And they are quite loud compared to later model High Gains that I have on other Rics. 8)
