Good evening everyone,

I would like to share photos of my recently acquired '59 425 (converted to 450 in the mid-sixties). When I got it it was in terrible shape. Home made pickguard, cheap bridge, completely hacked wiring, two holes drilled into side of lower bout for input jacks....each one wired to each pickup with no rhyme or reason as to how to access them via three-position Telecaster selector switch. I decided to keep the DeArmond Model 41 pickup in the neck position. Picked up a '57 one switch/two knob gold anodized guard and 50's style bridge from Winfield Vintage (absolutely terrific to deal with). Was able to use the original Rickenbacker 425 volume/tone circuit which luckily was left pretty much intact during the conversion. Had a pair of old Rickenbacker knobs in my collection, so I was able to put those to use. Original tuners were still on the guitar, as well as the stamped trussed cover and bridge cover. Original hardshell case and leather strap. Of the many Rics I have owned over the decades this one is a special find.

I give you 4C 184

Thank you Wim.
I'm very happy with how it turned out.

Just came across your post while posting my '58 400.

Lovely job! I'll bet she sounds as good as she looks, too.
