Dimensions for a 450/6

Post by Peterpatterson »

Hi. I'm reposting this question because I think I posted in the wrong place before!!! Does anyone know the width across the body at the widest point, of a 450/6? I'm trying to find a vintage case for it, & want to make sure it fits snugly. Thanks heaps.

You're in luck! If you're not looking for the exact original Rickenbacker case, a 450 will fit in most Strat/Tele cases that aren't molded for the Fender body shape.

A 450 is the same general width and length of a Strat/Tele, the main difference is the shape of the "horns."

Thanks a lot for the reply Colin. That's way cool. I actually lucked out & found a original Rick' Tolex case in mint condition!!! The only thing it doesn't have is the metal Rickenbacker name plate/badge on the outside. Gonna see if I can track one down & rivit it on!!! Thanks again for the reply.
