360-12GH

Post by steverok »

Is anyone familiar with this model ? I was unaware Rickenbacker made a 21-fret 360-12 with toasters. I assume the GH stands for George Harrison, as it resembles his Rubber Soul era 12-string. Thoughts ? It seems like it would be a really good model if you like toasters and the current 360-style body.

Sounds like the special run for Guitar Center last year.

Interesting that RIC would do a limited run for GC. Still, it's legit, and I imagine a great guitar.

Yes indeed. I think the "GH" designation came from Guitar Centre - presumably in reference to August 1967.

RIC did a few models - including a much much rarer one with the exact same features as the GH but in Fire Alarm Red.

There is a thread here talking about these from last year.

I am not sure what designation RIC put on the warranty cards. I don't think it was GH though.

They did 50 in week 11 of 2014. (It being GC's 50th anniversary).

They also did the exact same guitars for the Japanese distributor in week 41 of 2014. Not sure how many though.
